Who knew a deck box could be so craftily engineered?

You told us something just wasn't quite right about this deck box. Not only have we listened, but we also took this deck box to a whole new level of quality with massive re-engineering efforts. Working from the ground up, we've altered the front and side leg assembly, taking into account weight and balance for sturdier positioning. We added bracing to the bottom panel to provide more support so the deck box won't collapse under heavy weight loads. Support bars that span the length of each side panel were also added. This new method of construction provides stability by keeping all four sides squarely aligned. This added support will keep the panels from shifting, while also closing all possible gaps between slats for a tighter seal to protect your cushions, gardening tools, and other outdoor accessories from dust and insects.

My first scathingly bad review did not appear for some reason so in order to protect you, my fellow consumer, I am writing again. This was delivered in a perfectly packaged box and arrived with 7 out of 8 pieces broken - split wood and broken pieces that were screwed on by the manufacturer. To think that these pieces were not damaged in transit, but we're placed in the box by employees who had to have broken them when screwing pieces together, is beyond comprehension. This must cost the company a fortune in shipping back and forth. The delivery and return and refund were prompt and handled by customer service with courtesy and efficiency. Too bad the product is garbage. No, I would not recommend this to a friend or an enemy. Can you tell I was disappointed?

            The delivery was prompt. The return was handled perfectly and the refund was immediate. So disappointing that the product was broken because of poor quality wood and workmanship.

              It looked great online. Arrived with every piece of wood split somewhere. Tried to call, but it was too late eastern time. I''ll be calling for a refund, as I can't imagine getting the entire unit unbroken and I don't want to waste my time. I wish I would have paid attention to the other reviews saying there were missing pieces, etc - but I thought maybe I'd be lucky. Couldn't have been more wrong. DO NOT BUY THIS FLIMSY WOOD PRODUCT!

                  This is an imporoved design? If I had known how poor the quality on this was, I wouldn't have bothered. I have sturdier cardboard boxes in my house. After I assembled it and showed it to my husband, he just sighed..."I give it 6 months".
