About Cedar Wood
Cedar wood is lightweight and resistant to both cracking and moisture rot. The oils of this resilient wood guard against insect attack and decay, and their distinctive aroma acts as a mild insect repellent. Cedar is a dependable choice for outdoor furniture, either as a finished or unfinished wood. Over time, unfinished cedar left outdoors will weather to a silvery gray patina. This natural process does not compromise the strength or integrity of the wood.

      I was so happy to finally find a bench for our sauna room that would be Western red cedar. When it arrived my husband (who is VERY handy) said he'd have it put together in 15 minutes. I went to my exercise class and came home and the look on his face told the whole story. He was so frustrated and not happy at all with the horrible instructions for assembling the bench. The holes where the screws were supposed to go did not line up with the opposing hole, there were some parts that were not mentioned in the instructions and he had to find the place where they went. He had to redrill a couple of holes so the screws would pull the bench together. He told me if I ever get a chance to write a review, to do so! My husband is the most patient man in the world but he was not happy with this "easy" project! Other than that, the bench looks good in our sauna room. Some of the things I noticed about the quality of the bench popped out quickly....you can see some of the hardware showing through at the back of the bench and some screw heads, which shouldn't be showing for the price of the bench!
