I am using this around my swimming pool along with another bench I purchased here. I needed a backless bench in one particular area as anything more would have cluttered the landscape in the area where additional seating was needed. You will see from the photo. It looks terrific & it is on the opposite of the pool where the 1st bench is situated. I applied linseed oil to the wood and it has a beautiful finish.

Poor quality construction

I've only had this bench several months and it's already split and the seat supports are broken. This is a very low quality bench and not worth the money.

          overall i think you get what you pay for. The bench really isn't weather proof. the colors on the bench varies and quality isn't too high. I might have to re-stain it a bit to even it out. Overall i had a great customer service experience in dealing with my issues. The first came broken, they were able to reship another one. i had to varnish it and after putting on the varnish there were certain parts where it just ate up the varnish vs keeping water out.

            We bought the bench for our front porch, as we have a crowd of kids each day waiting for the school bus. We liked the bench's appearance on the website. It is solidly constructed but the cuts are imprecise so the legs don't quite line up. It's a little disappointing considering the cost of the bench. It probably should have included glue as well, but the included hardware made a pretty solid bench.

            Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
