We've always had a bench in front of our home. Unfortunately, a car damaged our last one, and since it is difficult to purchase a bench such as this kind at this time of the year, I decided to purchase this one here. Disappointed, because compared to our last one, this one seemed flimsy, almost more like a child bench. Metal is much thinner than what we've had. Back seems higher in the picture. My husband even reinforced the slats, because it looks too flimsy. Overall I felt it looked cheap compared to the others we've owned. I guess you get what you pay for...normally, we spent $150.00 on them in the past. Wish I would have spent the extra $50.00 on another bench..Because don't think this is going to last through the winter...If you want quality, keep shopping..or wait until Spring where you can look at one in person at [...]

    I replaced all the provided bolts and screws with SS to reduce weathering. I also added a strut across the bottom to provide some added strength and rigidity. Some of the wood seat boards have edge knots and rough spots that may need to be sanded down in the future. Time will tell. It is a very attractive little bench and a very reasonable price. It is a bit on the heavy side, but that's OK. If you put it on your lawn, recommend you add some "feet" as I did or place it on a pad.
