I was able to drill a hole to make it fit together properly. It was too much of a hassle to re-pack it and send it back. The box did not hold up to delivery, much less risk a return. The paint finish is very uneven and there are spaces where raw wood is exposed. This is supposed to be an outdoor bench, but I do not think it would hold up as is. I will paint and seal it, and it will look great in the garden. If it had been full price, I would have complained and returned it, though.

        This is actually the second of these benches I've ordered. This second one is not here yet because it became damaged en route and was sent back. However, customer service was friendly and easy when I had to reorder. I'm a Hayneedle convert. I always look there first before I buy.
